Bowen & Watson, Inc. proudly supports the 11th Annual Georgia Branch AGC Young Leadership Program's Charity Golf Tournament.

Highest proceeds in 11 year history due to generosity of constuction industry!
Despite a down economy, leaders of the construction industry supported the 11th Annual Young Leadership Program's (YLP) Charity Golf Tournament on May 5 at Chateau Elan in Braselton with record setting giving and player participation.
The event, which called for a 36-hole facility, raised $77,500 in revenue from sponsorships and recruitment of an impressive total of 277 players. After all tournament expenses, this resulted in a net profit of $33,000, which will be placed in teh YLP's Charitable Works Fund! Each year, monies earned from this tournament, which is the Fund's sole fundraiser, specifically support the YLP's mission of working with worthy charitable organizations and causes.
In the past 12 months, the YLP has donated over $12,000 in holiday toys fulfilling the wish list of 85 children in the care of Hillside Hospital, donated $2,000 off canned goods to area food banks, $3,000 to Wreaths Across America, and renovated a young wounded veteran's home, both inside and out, giving him safe and convenient wheelchair access.
The success of this annual golf tournament is critical to maintaining the high level of community involvement and charitable giving the YLP has become accustomed to providing. Members of the YLP and the Georgia Branch, AGC Chapter staff are very appreciative of the generous support provided by all the sponsors and participants.

The Build Georgia Awards Program, developed by Georgia Branch, AGC, marked it's 21st annual award program to recognize and honor construction excellence and the construction teams for their outstanding performance.
Bowen & Watson, Inc.'s Archer High School was among those nominated for this year's award. Intense planning by the project team, in a tight manpower market, made the Archer High School a success. After overcoming 91,000 yards of rock excavation, the project caught up the lost time quickly and remained on schedule until completion.
Such a large project demanded and received the best personnel from the subcontractors. For many months there were well over 200 men on the job each day. Coordination and safety were paramount. With man-hours in the neighborhood of ½ million, it was remarkable that no lost-time accidents were reported for this project!
